From the Garage to the Trails
Vince’s story begins long before Midwest Powersports in Milbank, South Dakota. Growing up, he spent countless hours racing dirt bikes and snowmobiling, sparking a lifelong love for the offroad world. After working as an auto mechanic for 20 years, Vince found a new path through an opportunity shared with friends. Together, they bought Midwest Powersports, turning a passion into a thriving business.
“I’ve always believed that it doesn’t matter if you’re selling donuts or Polaris,” Vince says. “If you believe in the product, you can sell it.”
A Place Where People Matter
For Vince, the real highlight of owning Midwest Powersports is the people. Whether it’s a farmer in need of a reliable side-by-side or a Make-A-Wish child experiencing the thrill of a ride, Vince loves helping his customers find what they need. Their community, heavily rooted in agriculture, keeps Midwest Powersports busy year-round, even during challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic.

“You meet all kinds of folks,” Vince shares. “From kids to farmers, it’s about helping them enjoy their lives, whether it’s work or play.”
The Heart of Adventure: Black Hills and Beyond
While the Black Hills are a major draw for offroad enthusiasts in South Dakota, Vince points out other hidden gems nearby. Appleton, Minnesota, just 25 miles from Milbank, has an offroad park with jeep trails and more. These local destinations keep Vince and his team busy, ensuring riders are equipped for their adventures, wherever they head.
“Sure, the Black Hills is the big name, but we’ve got great spots all around,” Vince says. “People come for the beauty and the challenge of the trails, and we’re here to make sure they have the right vehicle for the ride.”
Building a Business on Passion and Community
For Vince, running Midwest Powersports has been about more than just selling offroad vehicles—it’s about believing in what you do and the community you serve. That belief has guided him from his early days as a mechanic to leading a business that not only thrives but also touches the lives of those around him. Whether it’s the Polaris Ranger Northstar, his personal favorite, or a snowmobile tearing through fresh powder, Vince and his team are ready to fuel the next adventure.
